7. Clearing Faults
ATTENTION!
Risk of material damage through improperly completed repair work.
Never open the test kit!
Never attempt to complete repair work yourself!
If the test kit is defective, return the test kit to the manufacturer!
You can clear the following faults yourself:
Fault Possible cause Solution
No pressure build-up pos-
sible
Seal is defective or incor-
rect
Check the seals (size/mate-
rial/wear)
Seal not fitted properly Check fit of the seals
Pressure release valve is
open
Close the pressure release
valve
Switchover valve is in its
middle position
Set the switchover valve to
"Pressure" or "Vacuum"
Unwanted pressure loss in
measuring set-up
Leak in test object Check the connections
Check fit of the seals
The initial pump stroke is
difficult
Not a fault, the forces of
adhesion make the initial
pump stroke difficult
Complete the first pump
stroke with the pressure
release valve open
Pump stroke is difficult High counterpressure in the
test object
Increase pressure using the
fine adjustment valve.
