Overview

The Parkit360 Force is a trailer dolly designed to assist in moving trailers safely and efficiently, particularly in challenging spaces or on slight inclines. It is controlled by a single three-position switch on its handle, allowing for forward and reverse movement. The unit is designed for ease of use and aims to provide years of trouble-free operation.

Function Description:

The primary function of the Parkit360 Force is to maneuver trailers. It connects to the trailer's hitch and uses its motorized wheels to push or pull the trailer into desired positions. The unit can be powered by an optional on-board battery or by the trailer's own battery, offering flexibility in power sources. An optional trailer brake connector allows the Parkit360 Force to automatically engage and release the trailer's brakes, enhancing safety during operation. The unit features two modes for its main wheels: engaged and freewheeling. The freewheeling mode allows for easy manual positioning of the unit when not under load, while the engaged mode is for motorized operation.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power Source: Requires a 12-Volt battery. A Group 24 deep-cycle RV or Marine battery with a capacity of 70-90 Ah is recommended. The battery is not included and must be purchased separately.
  • Maximum Safe Trailer Weight:
    • P360SD Standard-Duty Model: 5,000 lbs. Max.
    • P360HD Heavy-Duty Model: 10,000 lbs. Max.
  • Grade Limitations:
    • Not recommended for use on hills due to the possibility of a runaway trailer.
    • Tested on grades up to 6% (3% when using the EZ Connect option).
    • Operation on grades steeper than 6% is not recommended and could result in damage, injury, or death.
    • Requires a minimum of 10% of the trailer weight in the hitch for optimal traction.
  • EZ Connect Option Limitations: When using the EZ Connect option, operation is restricted to a maximum 3% grade and 800 lbs of tongue weight.
  • Brake System: Features an optional connection for the trailer brake system. When connected and powered on, trailer brakes engage automatically when the unit is stationary and release when the motor is activated.
  • Circuit Breakers: Individual circuit breakers protect the brake and motor systems.

Usage Features:

  • Assembly: The main unit ships fully assembled. Users need to attach the handle, connect the handle control cable, and install the optional battery box and battery if purchased.
  • Handle Control Switch: A single three-position switch controls forward and reverse movement. There is no "On" indicator; the unit is operational once power is connected.
  • Hooking Up to Trailer:
    • Ball Mount Method: Insert the ball mount into the receiver, thread the hitch ball into the ball mount, ensuring the bottom shoulder of the hitch ball is slightly below the top surface of the ball mount collar. Apply all-purpose grease to the top surface of the ball mount collar. Ensure weld spots on the ball mount are properly oriented. Lower the trailer onto the ball with the trailer jack and lock it. Tighten the ball mount collar using the supplied tightening bar until the gap between the top of the ball mount and the trailer tongue closes. Lift the trailer jack all the way up.
    • Jack Post Option: Remove the ball mount, lower the trailer jack into the receiver. Lower the trailer as close to the Parkit360 Force wheels as possible without rubbing on the trailer frame to reduce strain on the jack shaft.
    • Telescopic Frame Adapter: Remove the ball mount, lower the telescoping pipe into the receiver, and slide the locking pin into place. This adapter is recommended for trailers with an articulated hitch; the ball and ball mount attachment should NOT be used with articulated hitches to prevent damage or injury.
  • Engaging/Freewheeling Wheels: A freewheeling knob allows users to switch between engaged (motorized operation) and freewheeling (manual movement) modes. Pull and turn the knob clockwise to engage or disengage. It is crucial for the knob to return to the fully seated position when engaging the wheels to prevent transmission damage. Rocking the wheels back and forth may be necessary for proper seating, especially with a new unit.
  • Battery Charging: If using the optional on-board charger, plug it into a 120V outlet. The charger uses a slow charge, taking up to 14 hours depending on battery condition. It is important to keep the battery level during charging to prevent acid seepage.
  • Safety Precautions: The unit must be securely attached to the trailer before use. Improper connection can lead to damage, injury, or death.

Maintenance Features:

  • Annual Maintenance: Recommended annually under normal use conditions, or more frequently with heavy use.
  • Maintenance Items:
    • Lubricate the chain with an approved chain lube.
    • Grease drive shaft bearings.
    • Grease ball mount/jack post receiver.
  • Warranty: Comes with a 2-year replace or repair warranty covering factory defects.
  • Warranty Exclusions: Does not cover peeling or damaged paint, motor burnout due to misuse, labor charges on the unit or other labor charges, and shipping charges.
  • Return Policy: Products can be returned within 30 days of sale for a full refund (less shipping and a 20% restocking fee) if there's a material defect or if expectations aren't met, provided the unit is undamaged, accompanied by all packaging and accessories, and the original sales receipt is presented.
  • Shipping Materials: Users are advised to keep all original shipping and packing materials for a minimum of 30 days in case the unit needs to be returned.
  • Troubleshooting: Contact information (phone and email) is provided for support.
