9.3. Flow system, SGI-3 & OXI-3
The measuring gas is supplied continuously by a diaphragm pump with a manual on/off
switch on the front. LED indication of pump operation.
Use the smallest possible hose dimensions, ø 5/3mm.
Maximum suction length: 15 m at ø 5/3 hose dimensions
9.4. Flow system, OXI-3.1
A 5 mbar pressure difference between gas inlet and gas outlet will ensure the correct flow
rate of approx. 200 ml/min. (Min. 3 mbar (140 ml flow rate) / Max. 7 mbar (300 ml flow
rate)).
When testing the indicator, supply a gas flow of 200 ml/min at the gas inlet. Do not
connect the gas outlet when testing.

Better than ± 1 LED.
Note: The OXI-3.1 was designed to measure oxygen in inert gases online in situations
where visual display is not required and where the output signal is linear.
9.7. Indication, SGI-3 & OXI-3
LED row consisting of 48 red LEDs showing the current oxygen content. The number of
LEDs lit increases as the oxygen content in the measuring gas drops. LED indication of:
mains voltage, pump operation, sensor function and measuring gas selected.
The SGI-3 was designed to measure oxygen in inert gases (inert - argon/nitrogen) or
formier gases. Before leaving the factory, the device was calibrated for measuring with
10%, 5% and 2% H
2
, respectively, in formier gas and N
2
/O
2
mixtures. If requsted, the
SGI-3 can be calibrated with other H
2
(hydrogen) ratios in formier gases.
