If your Pentair Water Pump operates but delivers little or no water, there could be several reasons: * The motor may be defective, requiring pump replacement. * The float switch could be defective, also requiring replacement. * There might be an obstruction affecting the float; remove it. * Backflow from piping may be occurring; install or replace the check valve. * The discharge may be restricted due to an obstacle or ice; remove the pump and clean the pump and piping. * The intake screen might be restricted; remove the pump and clean the intake screen and the impeller. * Something might be caught in the impeller; remove the pump and clean out the impeller. * Parts may be worn or defective, or the impeller may be plugged; clean the impeller or replace the pump.
