If the water level in the well is more than 25 feet below the pump's suction point, you might need a deep well jet pump. Corroded or limed steel piping (if used) can cause excess friction; replace it with plastic pipe where possible, or with new steel pipe. Also, ensure that the offset piping isn't too small; use larger offset piping if needed.
