Improperly worn belt
WARNING! You can be seriously injured if
your belt is buckled too high. In a crash, it
would apply force to your abdomen, not your
pelvic bones. This could cause serious inter
-
nal injuries. Always wear your seat belt low
over your pelvic bones.
The shoulder portion should fit snugly across your
body. It should always be worn over the shoulder next
to the door. It you put the belt under your arm, it can’t
protect you properly.
