Threading the Needle
Insert a new No . 80 needle and place a spool of No. 50 thread on the spool
pin. The bobbin thread should be
one size smaller than the needle thread.
Then thread the needle os shown
in Fig. 35 above.
The
appearance of the finished seam depends on the correct relationship
between needle, thread
and fabric. To select the proper needle and thread
sizes, therefore,
consult the Needle and Thread Chart on page 18.
