8. Messages
This chapter presents the different messaging features
of your Philips 960 mobile phone. Access to some of
these features will depend on your subscription. Please
contact your service provider for the details
concerning your subscription.
SMS
This menu allows you to send and receive short text
messages via SMS (Short Message Service). SMS can
include simple sounds, pictures and/or animations.
Create a new SMS
When you are editing an SMS, press
L
Options to

Create > SMS or

From home screen, select

Enter text for your SMS.

Select the desired word/ character
or
Delete a word/character.
Options Description
Continue Select Contacts to send your SMS to a
recipient in your phonebook. Or
select Phone number to enter any other
number using the keypad.
Add symbol Insert symbols to your text.
Insert

You may insert a list of items to your
text:
• Sounds: Insert a predefined sound.
• Animations: Insert a predefined
animation.
• My animations: Insert an animation
that you have downloaded.
• My pictures: Insert a picture that
you have downloaded or taken.
• My sounds: Insert a sound file that
you have downloaded.
