RECORDING
Preparation
e Switch on the set using the POWER button O).
e Press STOP*EJECT to open the Cassette door.
- Ensure that the cassette deck buttons are released
before you attempt to insert the cassette in.
e Insert a blank cassette as indicated.
e Close the cassette door.
e When monitoring during recording, adjust the sound
with the VOLUME ©, TONE @ and the DYNAMIC
BASS BOOST 6) controls. These controls do not affect
the recording.

e If you want to dub the other side of the cassette, flip the
cassette in the deck over to continue recording.
Recording from the CD-player
+ Set the MODE selector © to CD. It's not necessary to
start the CD-player separately; if you press RECORD,
the CD-player starts automatically;
- ifthe CD-player is in the STOP mode, recording will
start from the beginning of the disc (or from the
beginning of the programmed selection);
— ifthe CD-player is in the PAUSE mode recording will
start from this very position;
Note:
To activate the recording in the middle of a track, press
RECORD to start recording; just as the CD begins to play,
press PAUSE to stop recording. When the passage you
want to record is reached, press PAUSE again to conti--
nue recording.

Recording from the radio
e Setthe MODE selector (8) to RADIO.
CD RADIO TAPE
e Tune to the desired radio station described under
RADIO RECEPTION.
e Incase of FM radio recordings, setthe BAND selector©)
to FM STEREO.
Microphone recording
e Connect the microphone to socket MIC MIXING (0.
— Microphone only: setthe MODE selector © to TAPE.

— Mixing with CD: set MODE selector © to CD.
e {fa howling sound occurs:
— keep the microphone away from the loudspeakers,
- or reduce the volume,
— or use headphones for monitoring.
