Fig. 5 shows the voltages and the charge current while the output signal is clipping. It is
visible now that the charge current is at it’s maximum value almost all the time during the
recharging of the lift capacitor. The lift capacitor voltage almost drops to 5V. In this
situation the charge circuit is only just able to maintain the charge in the lift capacitor.
