Setting the on-screen display (OSD)
You can switch the on-screendisplay of the currentoperating
information on or off.
a Switch on the TV setand select the programme number
for the video recorder.
b Press the MENU button on the remotecontrol. The main
menu will appear.

c Select the line OSD withthe P r or P q buttons and
confirm with the OK button.
d Select one of the optionsshown with the P q button.
ON: Shows the OSDfor a few seconds only.
OFF: Switches offthe OSD.
e Confirm with the OK button.
Continuous playback
You can automatically playa cassette again and again.When
the video recorder reachesthe end of the tape or theend of
the recording, it willrewind and start again.
a Put a cassette inthe machine.
b Press the PLAY G button.
c Press the MONITOR button on the remotecontrol and the
PLAY G button on the video recorder at the sametime .
On the video recorderdisplay you will see:

d If you want to cancelcontinuous playback, repeatstep
c .
DDuring continuous playback, no otherbutton will
work. After apower failure, playback will
automatically startagain.
Automatic switch-off(tuner mode)
If you do not usethe video recorder for afew minutes in
certain modes (e.g.:STOP), it will switchto standby
automatically. You can cancelthis function to usethe video
recorder as a televisionreceiver (tuner).
a Hold the STOP h button until +appears on the video
recorder display.
b Select the programme numberyou want with the P r or
P q button or with the numberbuttons 0-9 .
c Switch off the videorecorder with the TV/STANDBY m
button, if you no longerwant to watch TV.
