GUIDANCE ON USING THE MODULE
The 41-761 behaves as a precise but adjustable low voltage source, making it ideal for Thermocouple Simulation.
As well as Thermocouple Simulation, it can be used for applications that require a reference voltage with ne
adjustment, with high accuracy and stability.
The module responds directly to a request for a particular voltage and is therefore very easy to use in a system.
Applications programs are easily generated to convert, for example, temperature requests to voltages for different
types of Thermocouple that are to be emulated.
Each channel is independent and has an “input” connection, Vcold, and an “output” connection, Vo. The Vo
connections provide an output voltage relative to Vcold, allowing the channel to compensate for the presence of
small voltages on the Vcold connection.

Voltage Range
The 41-761 provides three output voltage ranges. The available ranges are +/-100mV, +/-50mV and +/-20mV. The
20mV range has the nest output voltage resolution and the 100mV range the coarsest output voltage resolution.
There are four voltage range modes dened in the driver. These are High (+/-100mV), Medium (+/-50mV) or Low
(+/-20mV) ranges. The fourth mode is an auto-range, the default setting, which automatically switches between the
three ranges according to the requested voltage in order to provide the nest voltage resolution and best accuracy
available. At the changeover point between each range there may be small discontinuities in the output voltage
steps and an increased operation time.
