MISSION ON.E
The drivetrain is the heart of an e-bike. However, until now, an
e-bike drivetrain has always consisted of two separate systems
– a shifting system and a motor – which are usually made by
separate manufacturers yet somehow need to work together.
This ends up in a poor shifting performance, high wear and a
lot of maintenance. The Pinion MGU is here to change that.
Pinion’s Mission ON.E started 12 years ago with a vision to
bring together what belongs together – a complete, fully
integrated drive system that combines shifting system and
motor in a single unit, a motor gearbox unit for electric bicycles
so to speak. The result of this mission, which we envisaged
over a decade ago, is the Pinion MGU.
