  If you're experiencing little to no sound with your Pioneer Music Mixer, there are several possible causes: * The input selector switch may be in the wrong position. Select the correct device that is currently playing using the input selector switch. * A connection cable may not be properly connected or may have become disconnected. Ensure all cables are properly connected. * The connector or plug may be dirty. Clean the connector or plug and reconnect it. * The MASTER ATT. dial on the rear panel might be set too low. Adjust the MASTER ATT. dial on the rear panel.

  Sound distortion on your Pioneer Music Mixer can occur due to a couple of reasons: * The master output level may be too high. Adjust the MASTER ATT. dial on the rear panel. * The input level may be too high. Adjust the TRIM dial so that the input level approaches 0 dB on the CHANNEL LEVEL indicators.

  If your external effector isn't operating with your Pioneer Music Mixer, consider these potential causes: * The SEND/RETURN button may be turned OFF. Turn the SEND/RETURN button ON. * The effector may not be connected to the RETURN connector or EFX connector located in the rear panel. Connect the effector to either the SEND/ RETURN connector or the EFX 1 or EFX 2 connectors in the rear panel. * The SEND channel selector switch setting may be mistaken. Select the source to which you want to apply effects with the SEND channel selector switch.

  If the link function isn't working on your Pioneer Music Mixer, it could be that a device supporting digital link is not connected to the digital link connectors (EFX 1, EFX 2, SOUND 1, SOUND 2, VISUAL) in the rear panel. Use a digital link cable to connect the DJM- 1000 to a supported device.
