What to do if the tray won't open on my Pioneer Receiver?

  If the Pioneer Receiver's tray won't open, verify if the voltage of CN9-pin 3 and 5 on the DVDM Assy changes normally. Pin 3 (XCLOSE) should be at "H" level after closing, and pin 5 (OPEN) should be at "H" level after opening. Also, check if the LOAD_DRV signal is present. Furthermore, check the signal output from IC351-pin 14 and 15 (CN9-pin 1 and 2) on the DVDM Assy. Pin 15 should be approximately 6V when the tray is opening and about 0V when closing. Pin 14 should be about 0V when opening and about 6V when closing.

How to troubleshoot a Pioneer XV-DV303 Receiver when the opening screen doesn't show but the LCD and mecha are working?

  If your Pioneer Receiver's opening screen is not displayed on the monitor, but the LCD turns on and the mecha works, check the video signal path between the BACK END IC (DVDM IC601) and the video-out terminal using the block diagram as a reference.
