What to do if my Pit Boss Grill burner will not light?
    • J
      Jon RodriguezJul 28, 2025
If the burner on your Pit Boss Grill won't light, it could be due to several reasons. There might be no gas supplied, so check the regulator valve and the connection for leaks. Also, there might be no igniter spark on the electrode, so try adjusting the electrode. If the ignition wire is broken, contact Customer Care for assistance or a replacement part.

What to do if Pit Boss Grill burner blows out?
    • C
      Clayton AndersonAug 2, 2025
If the burner blows out on your Pit Boss Grill, check the gas fuel connection to ensure it is open and replace the gas cylinder if it is empty, as the cause may be no gas flow. If there are gusting or high winds, turn the front of the grill away from the wind or increase the flame height.

Why is there low heat on 'HIGH' on my Pit Boss Grill?
    • B
      Brett TurnerAug 7, 2025
Low heat on 'HIGH' on your Pit Boss Grill can be caused by blocked ports or an empty gas cylinder. Clear any obstructions from the ports and refill the gas cylinder.

Why does my Pit Boss Grill have frequent flare-ups?
    • D
      Dennis EricksonAug 12, 2025
Frequent flare-ups on your Pit Boss Grill can occur when grilling fatty meats, because of the high cooking temperature or if water sprayed on gas flames. To prevent flare-ups, grill fatty meats when the cooking surface is cold and the knobs are on the “LOW” setting. Also, attempt cooking at a lower temperature, keeping it under 176°C / 350°F when cooking highly greasy food. Never spray water on gas flames.

How to fix gas leakage in Pit Boss Grill?
    • A
      Andrew HuangAug 17, 2025
If you have gas leakage, turn the regulator knob to the "0" position, and allow the regulator knob to pop out. Remove the gas cylinder. Re-install and tighten. Perform a leak test to ensure proper seal. Replace the gas cylinder if it is damaged. Gas leakage can be caused by seal failure: if the gas cylinder has corroded, rusted, or has been mishandled, replace it. If it is regulator failure, the regulator needs to be replaced, so contact Customer Care for a replacement part. Improper installation can also cause gas leakage.

Why are the burner flames yellow or orange on my Pit Boss Grill?
    • M
      Mrs. Jennifer MooreAug 22, 2025
Yellow or orange burner flames on your Pit Boss Grill can be caused by poor air flow, a full grease cup, the regulator valve being off, or a dirty burner. Check the burner tube and burner ports for spider webs or other obstructions. Follow the Care and Maintenance instructions to clean the burner tube. Empty and reinstall the grease cup, following the Care and Maintenance instructions. Check the regulator valve connection to the gas cylinder, remove, then reinstall, and perform a leak test. Turn the regulator knob to HIGH for five minutes to burn off the unit, following the Care and Maintenance instructions.
