  If your Polaris Swimming Pool Vacuum isn't staying firmly on the pool bottom, there might be a few reasons. First, check for air trapped in the appliance casing and re-submerge the cleaner. Also, a full or dirty filter canister can cause this issue, so clean it. If neither of those solves the problem, the impeller might be damaged, and you should contact Polaris Technical Support for assistance.

  If your Polaris Swimming Pool Vacuum is not cleaning effectively, the brushes may be worn and need replacement. Another cause could be a full or dirty filter canister, so cleaning it is a good first step. Also, if the floating cable is excessively coiled or kinked, spread it out over the pool, ensure it's not tightly wrapped during storage, or lay it straight in the sun to relax it.

  If your Polaris Swimming Pool Vacuum isn't climbing walls or reaching the waterline, start by cleaning the filter canister, as a full or dirty canister can cause this. Also, if the pool walls are slippery, adjust the Surface Control System™ setting and consider a shock chlorination treatment to reduce pH levels, but remember to remove the cleaner from the pool during this treatment.
