ROCKER ARM/SHAFT
INSPECTION, CONT

Rocker Arm & Support I.D.:
.8669-.8678I (22.020-22.041 mm)
4. Measure I.D. of each rocker arm and compare to
specifications.
Rocker Shaft Oil Clearance:
Std: .0008-.0021I (.020- .054 mm)
Limit: .0039I (.10 mm)
5. Measure I.D. of both rocker arm shaft supports
and visually inspect surface. Compare to
specifications.
6. Subtract rocker shaft O.D. from rocker arm &
shaft support I.D. This is the oil clearance.
Compare to specifications.
7. Inspect rocker adjuster screws for wear , pitting, or
damage to threads of the adjuster or locknut.
Replace all worn or damaged parts. NOTE: The
end of the adjuster screw is hardened and cannot
be ground or re-faced.
CAMSHAFT REMOVAL
1. Remove thermostat housing.
2. Remove camshaft sprocket inspection cover.
