You can place up to eight calls on hold on your phone.
(For information on placing conference calls on hold, See Holding
and Resuming Conferences sections).
To place a call on hold:
During a call, press the Hold soft key. The console LEDs ash red
to indicate that a call is on hold.
The screen below shows Jane Smith on hold. The Resume soft
key now displays on the screen.
To resume a call on hold:
Multiple Calls on Hold
If multiple calls are on hold, use to switch between the calls,
then press the Resume soft key to retrieve the desired call.
Call Transfer
You can transfer calls from your Conference Phone to another
phone in your ofce or to any other phone number outside your
ofce. For example, if you receive a call from a co-worker in the
ofce, you can transfer that call to another co-worker in the ofce or
on his cellular phone outside the ofce.
A call can be transferred in one of the three ways:
Consultative transfer—You have the option of either talking to the
party to whom you are transferring the call, or you can choose
not to talk to the party, and complete the transfer when you hear
the party’s ring-back sound.
Blind transfer—The call is automatically transferred after you dial
the number of the party to whom you want to transfer the call.
You do not have the option of talking to the party.
