  If your Polycom Conference System doesn't start, first, ensure the power switch is turned on for both the system and any connected equipment. Then, check that the power cord is securely connected to both the system and a working power outlet. If using a power strip, make sure it's plugged in and switched on. To verify the outlet, plug in another device. If it still doesn't power on, the issue might be with the system's power supply.

  If you cannot access your Polycom Conference System remotely, first ensure that remote access is enabled in the system settings under System > Admin Settings > General Settings > Security. If DHCP Client is enabled and no DHCP server is available, contact your network administrator. Also, ensure there is no firewall blocking access between your computer and the system, and that both devices are on the same network subnet. If the system is in Security Mode, use secure access methods.

Ensure that the system is correctly configured for the network and that the IP Gateway/Gatekeeper is operating correctly. If calls still do not connect, use the PING test to verify if the far site is an H.323 device. If you cannot place calls to known sites, register with the gatekeeper.

  If the System button is missing from the home screen of your Polycom Conference System, press the button on the remote and select System at the end of the help message. Alternatively, access the system remotely using the web interface, Telnet, or SNMP. From the web interface, you can add the System button back to the home screen by navigating to System Setup > Admin Settings > General Settings > Home Screen Settings and selecting System. The change will take effect after you navigate away from the home screen and back again on the system.

Ensure the volume is turned up on your monitor or external audio system, and verify the system's audio output using the Speaker Test under Diagnostics > Audio. Confirm that the far site's microphones are correctly placed and connected. Also, check the system's audio connections to the monitor or external audio system, and ensure they are connected to the correct audio connectors on the monitor.

  If the Line Status icons on your Polycom Conference System do not disappear, preventing video calls, first check the ISDN line connections. Verify that the ISDN number is entered correctly and that your ISDN line is provisioned for Voice/Data by your service provider. If the system is in an unknown state, power it off, wait five seconds, and then power it back on. If the system was unable to auto-detect SPIDs, clear the existing SPIDs and start the auto-detection process again. Ensure your ISDN numbers are entered correctly and, if necessary, manually enter the SPIDs and switch protocol, consulting with your ISDN service provider.

This issue can occur if the system uses a PRI E1 network interface module connected to an Adtran Atlas 800 Plus module, which requires time to complete channel restarts after power on.
