Fuel
Tank
The
fuel
filler
neck
is
in
the
side
panel
above
the
right-hand
rear
wheel.
To
prevent
it
overflowing
as
hot
fuel
expands,
the
tank
has
an
additional
space
which
should
not
be
filled
with
fuel.
The
tank
is
"full"
when
the
correctly
operated
automatic
fuel-hose
nozzle
cuts
off.
Carefully
place
the
tank
cap
in
position
,
turn
it
until
it
engages
wi
th
an
audible

click
,
and
lock
with
the
ignition
key.

the
tank

neck

neck

unleaded-fuel
pump

open
the
flap

Octane
Rating":
The
engine
is
designed
to
provide
optimum
per-
formance
and
fuel
consumption
if
unleaded
pre-
mium
fuel,
minimum
98
RON
/
88
MON
is
used.
If
unleaded
premium
fuels
with
octane
numbers
of
at
least
95
RON
I
85
MON
are
used,
the
engine's
knock
control
system
automatically
adapts
the
ignition
timing
.
Fuel
Can
Prompt
refuelling
as
well
as
the
large
tank
capacity
and
a
reserve
of
approx.
8
litres
make
it
unnecessary
to
carry
a
fuel
can.
If
you
are
nevertheless
obliged
to
carry
a
spare
can,
it
should
be
securely
fastened
in
a
safe
place
(e.g.
behind
the
rear
seat
back).
Incorrect-
ly

ecured
cans
may
be
damaged
in
an
accident
and
the
escaping
fuel
may
increase
the
risk
of
fire
or
explosion.
