Reservoir
The
fluid
reservoir
for
the
hydraulic
brake
and
clutch
operating
systems
is
in
the
engine
com-
partment.
Do
not
allow
the
vent
bore
in
the
screw
cap
to
become
clogged.
The
fluid
level
in
the
transparent
container
should
be
between
the
"MIN"
and
"MAX"
marks.
On
right-hand
drive
vehicles
there
is
a
separate
reservoir
for
the
clutch
operating
system
on
the
right-hand
side
of
the
engine
compartment.

Some
dropping
of
the
fluid
level
occurs,
when
driving,
due
to
wear
and
automatic
adjustment
of
the
disc
brake
pads.
This
is
quite
normal.
Should
the
fluid
level
drop
appreciably,
the
brake
fluid
warning
light
comes
on.
Do
not
hesistate
to
immediately
contact
an
Offi
-
cial
Porsche
Centre
to
check
the
brake
system.
Brake
fluid
is
hygroscopic,
and
must
therefore
be
replaced
in
accordance
with
the
intervals
specified
in
the
booklet
"Guarantee
and
Mainten-
ance".
Always
fill
the
system
with
new
{unused)
original
Porsche
brake
fluid
.

Caution:
Brake
fluid
is
corrosive,
and
can
dam-
age
the
paintwork.
Reservoir
for
Windscreen
and
Headlight
Washer
System
The
reservoir
is
on
the
rear
right
inside
the
en-
gine
compartment
next
to
the
battery
and
has
a
capacity
of
approx.
6.5
litres
.
It
is
a
good
idea
to
add
the
correct
amount
of
Porsche
Window
Cleanser
-
either
summer
or
winter
grade
according
to
the
time
of
the
year
-
to
the
water
.
Generally,
clean
water
alone
is
not
sufficient
to
clean
the
windscreen
and
head-
lights.
