What troubleshooting steps should I perform if I see F46?
F46 (MMV
™
Only): No movement
Code Meaning: The encoder is not moving.
Further Information/Troubleshooting Tips:
1. Check to see if the encoder coupling has come loose. Tighten or fix as necessary.
2. Check that your encoder is properly grounded. Consult the documentation or manual for your encoder as
necessary.
3. Run the drive in test mode (U49) with U48 set to 17 to detect noise levels, and to see if there are specific times
when the noise is occurring. If the noise appears when the brake is setting/releasing, your brake contactors may
be causing interference with the encoder. Isolate and shield encoder wiring if possible to reduce sources of EMF
noise.

What troubleshooting steps should I perform if I see F47?
F47 (MMV
™
Only): Encoder Problem
Code Meaning: The encoder is missing pulses.
Further Information/Troubleshooting Tips:
1. Check to see if the encoder coupling has come loose. Tighten or fix as necessary.
2. Check that your encoder is properly grounded. Consult the documentation or manual for your encoder as
necessary.
3. Run the drive in test mode (U49) with U48 set to 14 (and subsequently 15) to detect missing pulses. Check the
wiring on the phase with the missing pulses.
