CHAPTER 5 — OPERATION FOR PLC-7420 CONTROL SYSTEM
5.4.3 AMF Operation
PLC-7420/7320 control system has AMF function.
It is able to realize to start and stop the genset
automatically by connecting 9 pin communication
connector to the mains, and transfer automatically
the power supply of loads between the mains and
genset by the control of genset's motor main circuit
breaker (if applied). If in doubt, refer to local Elec-
trical Supply Company for advice.
•Settingcommunicationbetweenthegenset
andmains
1)Connectthemainscommunicationline(ifap-
plied)tothecommunicationconnectoronthe
genset.
2)Connectthecorrespondingterminalsinthe
otherendofcommunicationlinetothemains
(L1,L2,L3,N)withsuitablewirings.Theuser
candistributethewiringaccordingtothe
gensetwiringdiagram.
•AdjustingthegensettoAMFcontrolmode
1)ShutoffGensetMainCircuitBreaker(GB).
2)TurntheBatteryIsolatorto"ON".
3)TurntheKeySwitchto"ON".
4)PressAutoModeButton.ItsLEDilluminates.
5)Thecontrolmodulewillmonitorthemains.The
gensetdoesnotstartandisinstandbymodeif
themainsisnormal.
•OperationInstruction
(1)Start
1)Ifthemainsbecomesabnormal(e.g.over-volt-
age,under-voltage,over-frequency,under-fre-
quencyetc.),theMainsBreaker(MB)wouldbe
shutoffautomatically,andthecontrolmodule
wouldperformtheautostartsequence.
2)Ifthegensetstartssuccessfullyandrunsat
correctvoltageandfrequency,GBwouldbe
switchedonautomatically,andtheunitexports
powertoload.
(2)Stop
1)Ifthemainsrecovers,thecontrolmodulewould
performstopsequenceautomatically.
2)Afterdelaytime,GBisshutoffautomaticallyand
MBswitchedon.
3)Theenginekeepsidlinguntilcoolingtimeisover.
Thenitstops.
NOTE:Iftheuserwantstostopmanuallythe
genset,rstpresstheManualModeButtonto
makethegensetbeinmanualmode,thenpress
theStopButton.
