Mufer Screen and Spark Arrestor
Maintenance
Should be performed every 6 months or 100 hours.
The air lter may need to be cleaned more frequently
when using in unusually wet or dusty areas.
1. (A) Remove the screws (1) and then remove the
cover (2).
2. (B, C) Loosen the bolt (1) and the remove the mufer
cap (2), the mufer screen (3) and spark arrester.
3. (E) Remove the carbon deposits on the mufer
screen and spark arrester using a wire brush. Use
wire brush lightly to avoid damaging the mufer
screen or spark arrestor.
4. Check the mufer screen and spark arrester replace
them if damaged.
5. Install the spark arrester.
6. Install the mufer cap.
7. Install the cover and tighten the screws.
