Data Plate
The main components of the vehicle such as engine, transmission, axles and chassis are identified by dif-
ferent serial numbers. It may be necessary to locate these numbers for warranty purposes.
Engine
The engine serial number is stamped on the cyl-
inder block under the intake manifold (oil filter
side) close to the water pump.
In addition, four plates are located on the rocker
cover (oil filter side). Contents of the plates in-
clude the engine serial and model numbers and a
list of the optional equipment on the engine. The
information is primarily used when ordering re-
placement parts.
