Your R32 is supplied with the following
components:
•
Mains cable.
If this is missing please contact your supplier.
We recommend you retain the packaging in case
you need to transport the unit at a later date.
The R32 accepts either a moving-magnet
cartridge (gain 41.5dB) or a moving-coil cartridge
(gain 62dB).
With a very low output moving-magnet cartridge,
an additional 5dB increase in gain is available
by fitting an internal jumper inside the unit; see
Additional information
, page 4.
•
Set the MM/MC selector to the appropriate
position for your cartridge.
The input impedance can be set to the following
values to match the cartridge and preamplifier.
10Ω, 20Ω, 50Ω, 100Ω, 200Ω, 500Ω, or 47kΩ
•
Set the input impedance selector to the
appropriate position for your cartridge.
If none of these options exactly matches the
impedance of your cartridge, choose the nearest
match that gives the best sound.
•
Connect the cartridge to the RCA inputs.
Use high quality stereo RCA leads.
•
If the turntable provides a ground connection,
connect this to the Ground terminal on the
back panel to minimise hum pickup.
•
Connect the R32 outputs to the appropriate
line-level inputs of a preamplifier or processor.
Use high quality stereo RCA leads.
•
Connect the power connector on the back
panel to your power outlet using the mains
cable supplied with the R32.
If this cable is not suitable for your power outlets
please contact your supplier for an alternative
cable.
•
Switch on, using the switch on the back panel.
After a warm-up delay of 5 seconds the indicator
on the front panel lights up showing that the R32
is ready for use.
WARNING: Before connecting
power check that the required supply
voltage, indicated on the back panel,
corresponds to your local AC supply.
If a different voltage is stated on the type plate do
not connect the amplifier to the mains power, and
seek advice from your dealer.
WARNING: Always disconnect the
R32 from the mains power before
connecting or disconnecting any cables.
