How to fix ProForm 5.2 when the power does not turn on?
    • M
      mark23Jul 29, 2025
First, ensure the power cord is properly plugged into a grounded outlet. If using an extension cord, it should be a 3-conductor, 1 mm[2] (14-gauge) cord no longer than 1.5 m (5 ft.). Note that the treadmill isn't compatible with RCD-equipped outlets. Also, check that the key is correctly inserted into the console. Finally, examine the reset/off circuit breaker on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes, the breaker has tripped; wait five minutes, then press the switch to reset it.

How to recalibrate incline on ProForm Treadmill?
    • M
      Mark WilsonAug 3, 2025
To recalibrate the incline, insert the key into the console, and press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is changing, remove the key. After a few seconds, reinsert the key. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. This recalibrates the incline system.

Why does my ProForm Treadmill power turn off during use?
    • E
      ewarrenAug 6, 2025
The power may turn off during use due to several reasons. Start by checking the reset/off circuit breaker and reset it if tripped by waiting five minutes and then pressing the switch back in. Next, ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; if it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and plug it back in. Also, try removing and reinserting the key from the console. If the treadmill still does not run, please see the front cover of this manual.

How to prevent ProForm 5.2 Treadmill walking belt from slowing down when walked on?
    • J
      Julie MatthewsAug 11, 2025
To address the walking belt slowing down, use only a single-outlet surge suppressor meeting the specifications described on page 13. Also, check the walking belt tension. If it's overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the hex key to turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform. Keep the belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until properly tightened. If the walking belt still slows when walked on, see the front cover of this manual.

Why is my ProForm 5.2 Treadmill chest pulse sensor not working?
    • G
      gatesjacobAug 25, 2025
If the chest pulse sensor isn't functioning correctly, see CHEST PULSE SENSOR TROUBLE. If it still fails, the battery may need replacing. Locate the battery cover on the back of the sensor unit. Insert a coin into the slot and turn the cover counterclockwise to the “open” position to remove it. Take out the old battery and insert a new CR 2032 battery with the writing on top, ensuring the rubber gasket is in place. Replace the battery cover and turn it to the closed position.

What to do if the ProForm 5.2 Treadmill walking belt is off-center or slips?
    • M
      Michael PowellNov 14, 2025
If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, use the hex key to turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn. If it has shifted right, turn the bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Be careful not to overtighten the belt. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until centered. If the walking belt slips when walked on, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the hex key to turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform. Keep the belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat unti...
