How to fix a ProForm Treadmill that won't turn on?
    • J
      Justin SmithAug 11, 2025
If the power to your ProForm Treadmill does not turn on, make sure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet. Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications. The treadmill is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. Also, ensure that the key is inserted into the console after plugging in the power cord. Check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset it, wait five minutes and then press the switch back in.

If the incline of your ProForm Treadmill does not change correctly, insert the key into the console and press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is changing, remove the key. After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level, recalibrating the incline system.

Why does my ProForm PFTL58007.1 Treadmill walking belt slow down when I walk on it?
    • E
      erikariveraAug 30, 2025
If your ProForm Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, ensure you're using a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets the specifications. If the walking belt is overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, use the hex key to turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform. Keep the walking belt centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat this process until the walking belt is properly tightened.

      Sarah CruzSep 4, 2025
If the console displays on your ProForm Treadmill remain lit after removing the key, the display demo mode is likely activated. This mode is intended for use when the treadmill is displayed in a store. To deactivate it, press and hold the Stop button for a few seconds.

      Betty ThomasNov 24, 2025
If your ProForm Treadmill's walking belt is off-center, remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn with the hex key. If it has shifted right, turn the bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Avoid overtightening. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until centered. If the walking belt slips when walked on, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn with the hex key. You should be able to lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform when correctly tightened. Keep the belt centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the belt is properly...
