Why does my ProForm Treadmill power turn off during use?
    • K
      Karen GonzalezAug 10, 2025
The treadmill might be turning off during use due to several reasons. First, check the reset/off circuit breaker and reset it if tripped by waiting five minutes before pressing the switch back in. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; if it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and plug it back in. Also, try removing and reinserting the key from the console. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please see the front cover of this manual.

What to do if my ProForm Treadmill power does not turn on?
    • C
      Christopher AndersonAug 15, 2025
If your ProForm Treadmill power does not turn on, ensure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet, using a single-outlet surge suppressor. Note that the treadmill is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. Also, verify that the key is inserted into the console. Finally, check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes, the circuit breaker has tripped; wait five minutes, then press the switch back in to reset it.

How to fix ProForm Treadmill walking belt if it slips or is off-center?
    • A
      Allen NixonAug 25, 2025
To fix a ProForm Treadmill walking belt that is off-center or slips, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt is off-center to the left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn with the hex key. If it's off-center to the right, turn the bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. If the belt slips, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1/4 of a turn. Ensure the belt isn't overtightened—you should be able to lift each edge 2 to 3 inches. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, walk on it carefully for a few minutes, and repeat adjustments until corrected.

Why does the ProForm PFTL99707.0 Treadmill walking belt slow down when I walk on it?
    • A
      Andrew WhiteAug 29, 2025
If the ProForm Treadmill walking belt slows down when walked on, use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets the specifications described on page 12. Also, check if the walking belt is overtightened. To adjust, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn using the hex key. The belt should be tight enough that you can lift each edge 2 to 3 inches off the platform. Plug the cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until properly tightened. If the issue persists, please see the front cover of this manual.
