8 Operating Instructions
Secure the work on a rm support.
Do not cut into nails, screws, etc.
Do not work with materials containing
asbestos.
Do not use saw blades that have cracks
or that are damaged.
Under no circumstances use abrasive
disks!
Saw blades of highly alloyed, high-speed
steel (HSS-steel) must not be used.
Feeding too fast signi cantly reduces the
performance of the machine and short-
ens the life of the saw blade.
Use only sharp saw blades in perfect con-
dition.
Uncoated saw blades can be protected
from corrosion with a thin coat of acid-
free oil.
Resin and glue on the saw blade cause
poor cutting results. Therefore, clean the
saw blade immediately after use.
9 Maintenance
- The unit should be stored in a dry place
where it is protected against freezing.
WARNING
To verify that the protective insulation
remains intact, the machine must be
subjected to a technical safety test
afterwards. For this reason, this work
must be performed exclusively by a
professional electro-workshop.
- With each changing of the saw blade, re-
move deposited saw dust from the inside
of the protective guard.
- The ventilation slots on the motor casing
should be cleaned out from time to time.
After an operating period of approx. 200
hours, the following maintenance work
must be performed:
- Check the motor brushes and replace if
necessary. Clean the motor housing.
10 Environmental
Protection/Disposal
Power tools, accessories and packaging
should be sorted for environmental-friendly
recycling.
Only for EC countries:
Do not dispose of power tools into
household waste!
According to the European Directive
2002/96/EC on waste electrical and elec-
tronic equipment and its incorporation into
national law, power tools that are no longer
suitable for use must be separately collect-
ed and sent for recovery in an environmen-
tal-friendly manner.
