Step 2 - Transferring the down loaded upgrade file and installing on the instrument

If you already have a TFTP server on your computer, simply start the TFTP server program. If not, go to

the section below, "Instructions for Installing the TFTP Facility"

Insure the root folder of your TFTP server is configured as the downloads folder. Alternatively, you can

copy the downloaded file from your downloads folder to your TFTP root folder, usually TFTP-root by

default.

Using the instrument Telnet or RS232 control/monitor interface, you first need to tell the instrument

the name of the upgrade file, and the location (IP address of your computer) where it is stored.

NOTE: Only the name of the file, NOT the file extension, should be entered into the menu entry.

For example, if the file is called ptf3207A_v02-01.jffs2, only enter ptf3207A_v02-01, DO NOT enter the

.jffs2 extension. See the screen shots below;
