1.1 Pyxis Major Features
The Pyxis SP-900 analyzer shown in Figure 1 is a combination of photometer and
fluorometer. It provides colorimetric measurements at 6 LED wavelengths, fluorometric
measurement with 365 nm excitation and 410 nm emission, and turbidimetric
measurement using a white LED as the excitation source. Pyxis SP-900 is pre-
calibrated for colorimetric measurements of analytes common in industrial water
treatment and other water testing in the laboratory or in the field, such as chlorine,
