What to do if QNAP TS-462 Storage drive failed?
    • S
      Scott MitchellAug 8, 2025
To replace a failed drive on your QNAP storage, log on to QTS and go to Main Menu > Storage & Snapshots > Storage > Disks/VJBOD to locate the failed drive. Prepare a new hard drive with the same or larger capacity. Remove the failed drive from the device, wait for 20 seconds or until you hear two beeps, then remove it from the tray. Insert the new drive into the tray and install it. After two beeps, go to Main Menu > Storage & Snapshots > Storage > Storage/Snapshots, find the volume with the new drive, and check that the status is Rebuilding.
