The PCBs may come with a surplus strip of
material along one or more edges; this is
used during the manufacturing processes to
panelize PCBs on a larger panel of blank
FR4. If this is the case, just gently snap off
the excess strip of board.
It’s also important to gently file away any
rough edges of the PCB from where it has
been snapped out of the larger panel.
