a. Align the tabs on the cooling shroud with the securing slots on the chassis (see Figure 16 below).

b. Lower the cooling shroud into the chassis until it is firmly seated.
Note: For proper seating of the cooling shroud in the chassis, ensure that the cables inside
the system are routed along the chassis
Installing the Optional Network Cards
The following network card options are available for all DXi6900 configurations (see Table 2 below):
The additional Ethernet ports can be used for management, replication, or data traffic. If ordered with the
configuration, install the provided optional network cards (see Figure 17 on the next page).

DXi6900 G1 If ordered with the configuration, install one of the following
network card options in PCIe slot 2:
l Quad port i350 1 GbE card
l Dual port X520 10 GbE card (optical or Twinax)
