8. Removethemanifoldbydisconnectingitfromthebypassvalveandremovingthemountingscrewlocated
behindthemetercontrol.
9. Undothe8screwsaroundthelargecirculartopcover.Carefullyremovethecover,withtheattachedinternal
tank.Nowyoucancleantheinsideofthetank.
10. Pumporsiphonthewateroutofthetank.
11. Vacuumoutanyremainingwaterwithawet/dryvacuum.
12. Washdowntheinsideofthetank.Thismayrequiresomescrubbing.Ifalayerofmineralshascollectedatthe
bottomofthetank,removethislayer.If
theminerallayerincludesarustymaterial,youmayhavetousea
reducingchemicaltodissolveandneutralizetherust.
13. Asafinalstep,sanitizetheinsideofthetankusingadilutesolutionofchlorinebleach.Rinse,thenvacuumout
anyremainingwater.
14. Reinstallthe
circulartopcoverwiththeinternaltankandairwatercoupling.Checkthegaskettomakesureitis
properlysealed.Replacethegasketifnecessary.
15. Reconnectthewatersupplylinetotheairwatercouplingbelowtheblower.
16. Disinfecttheunit.(Pouroneounceofbleachintothe
blowerattachmentnipple.)
17. Installtheblower.Firmlysliptheblowerontotheblowerattachmentnippleandtightenclamp.
18. SetthebypassvalvetotheServiceposition
19. Restarttheunit.Followtheinstructionsinthe“StartupProcedure.”
20. Checkallsealstoensuretheyareairor
watertight.
RemovingthePumpandLowWaterFloat:
1. Unplugbothpowercordstotheunit.SetthebypassvalvetotheBypassposition.
2. Removepipingontopofmechanicalpumpcontrolandunscrew1”unionlocatedunderthemechanicalpump
control.
3. Unplugandremovethepump
control.
4. UnplugthepiggybackfloatswitchcordfromtheduplexoutletboxontheBubbleUp®JrInteractive™.
5. Loosenthe4nutsonthepumpaccessseal.Seefigure6.Donotremovethetopnutssothattheboltsdonot
fallintoBubbleUp®JrInteractive™
mainwatertank.Notethatthedire ctionofthefloatswitchcordistowards
theairwatercouplingsothatitcanbereinstalledinthesameposition.
6. Liftthepumpaccesssealoffofthemainwatertank.Thismayrequirepryingwithaflatscrewdriveror
two.
7. Liftandpulloutfillfloatswitchandthenpumpfromthemainwatertank.SeeFigure10.
8. Retrievelowwaterfloatandhighwateralarmfloatthroughthepumpaccesshole.
TroubleshootingforBubbleUpMechanicalPumpController
LowWaterPumpCutout
Alowwaterfloatswitchisusedtoturnoffthepumptoprotectitfromrunningdry.Thepumpwillautomaticallyrestart
when water level returns to normal.If the water alarm valve or solenoid is stuck closed, incomingwaterwill not be
allowed
toentertheBubbleUp®JrInteractive™maintank.Thiswillcausethetanktoemptyandthelowwaterfloatto
turnoffthepumptoprotectitfromrunningdry.Ifthewellpumpfailstherewillbenowaterenteringthemaintankof
theBubbleUp®Jr
Interactive™alsocausingthelowwaterfloattoturnoffthepumptoprotectitfromrunningdry.
NoWaterfromtheBubbleUp(noalarmissounding)
Cause:LowwaterfloatswitchshutoffBubbleUp®Jrpump.
Example:TheBubbleUpInteractiveincludesalowwaterfloatswitch
tostoptheBubbleUp®Jrpumpfromdelivering
waterflowtothehousewhenthewaterlevelintheBubbleUptankistoolow.Thisprotectsthepumpfromrunningdry.
ThisfloatswitchwillautomaticallyrestarttheBubbleUppumponcewaterlevelrisestonormallevels.
