  If the keys beep at the Pro Max transmitter but no valves turn on at a non Rain Master controller, you should: * Check the valve solenoid and replace it if necessary. * Inspect the station wiring for a short circuit to common, looking for insulation nicks and exposed wiring in standing water. Once the field problem is resolved, turn the station back ON and cycle the Pro Max receiver power to reset the unit. Note that the Pro Max system will continue to operate normally for stations that are not shorted.

  The receiver beeping once indicates that the universal adapter has detected an electrical short circuit when attempting to turn ON a station. To resolve this: * Check the valve solenoid and replace it if necessary. * Check the station wiring for a short circuit to common, looking for insulation nicks and exposed wiring in standing water. * After fixing the field problem, turn the station back ON. * Cycle Pro Max receiver power to reset the unit. Note that the Pro Max system will continue to operate normally for non-shorted stations.

  Here are some things to check: * Verify the installation and antenna connections. * Remove and re-insert the PM-SER99 cable from the controller, listening for a Pro Max receiver tone upon re-insertion: One tone is OK, two tones are also OK (refer to Section 4.6 Access Codes), but any other tones mean you should contact the factory. * Press the AUTO UP key and listen for a confirmation beep at the Pro Max receiver. If you don't hear a beep, contact the factory. The controller display should show remote station activity as AUTO UP is pressed; if nothing is displayed, contact the factory. * Make sure water is ON at the selected stations and that field station wiring is correct.
