PROB LEM C AUSE SOLUT I ON
Engine runs erratically Fuel line blocked. Clean fuel line/lter.
Dirty or old fuel. Drain tank. Rell with fresh, clean
gasoline.
Dirty air lter. Clean/replace air lter.
Spark plug wire loose. Check and connect wire.
Engine overheats Air intake screen plugged. Clean any debris from around cooling
ns and blower housing.
Oil level low. Check oil, ll with proper amount.
Excessive ethanol in fuel Drain tank. Rell with fresh gasoline
containing less than 10% ethanol.
Engine clicks but will not start Weak or dead battery. Recharge battery.
Damaged wiring. Check all wiring and replace as
necessary.
Corroded battery terminals. Clean battery terminals.
Faulty starter. Call for Service
Excessive Vibration Worn or bent blade(s). Replace blade(s).
Loose Blade(s). Tighten blade or replace blade adapter
set.
Damaged Tires. Call for Service
Jerky operation on hills or rough terrain Terrain causes operator to bounce on
throttle.
Use Cruise Control for smooth operation.
Uneven cut Cutting deck not level. Level mower deck from side to side and
front to rear.
Dull blade(s). Replace blade(s)
Uneven tire pressure. Check tire pressure, adjust accordingly
to 15 psi rear, 12 psi front.
Buildup of debris under mower. Clean underside of mower.
Speed too fast while mowing.
Travel slower.
Poor grass discharge Discharge chute plugged. Unplug chute.
Wet grass. Allow grass to dry before cutting.
Cutting deck not leveled properly. Level mower deck from side to side and
front to rear.
Uneven tire pressure. Check tire pressure, adjust accordingly
to 15 psi rear, 12 psi front.
Build up of debris under mower Clean underside of mower.
Blades improperly installed. Reinstall blades correctly.
12V Battery will not charge Blown 30 A fuse. Replace green 30 A fuse.
Bad/dead battery cell(s). Replace battery.
Battery terminals dirty. Clean as necessary.
Headlights not working Headlight switch is off. Turn switch on.
Blown 20A (yellow) fuse. Replace 20A (yellow) fuse.
Engine dies when switching into
reverse
Reverse Mow Override is not “on”
while mower or other attachment is
engaged.
Be sure to engage Reverse Mow
Override correctly. (See page 22).
Patches of grass left uncut Speed too fast while mowing. Travel slower.
Cutting deck needs cleaning. Clean cutting deck.
