Whenplanningtheinstallation,takethefollowingsiterequirements
intoaccount.
AISrequirement
ThisproductisNOTapprovedforuseinhazardous/ammable
atmospheres.DoNOTinstallinahazardous/ammableatmosphere
(suchasinanengineroomornearfueltanks).
TheAISunitmustbettedinalocationwhereitisnotlikelytobe
steppedonortrippedover,andwhich:
•Iscloseenoughtoallowconnectiontothevessel’sVHFwiththe
3ft(1m)RFcablesupplied.
•Isatleast3ft(1m)fromanengine,compassoranymagnetic
device.
•Hasatleast6in(100mm)ofclearspacebelow,toallowaccess
forcablingandadequatecablebends.
•Ismaintainedatatemperaturebetween-15°C(5°F)and+55°C
(130°F).
