suppressionferriteMUSTalwaysbeattachedtothecableneartheRaymarineunit.
AxiomXL24abovedecksinstallationrequirements
Note:
TheinstallationrequirementsbelowonlyapplytotheAxiomXL24whenbeinginstalledinanabovedecks
environment.
TheAxiomXL24isdesignedtooperateinambienttemperaturesofupto55°C/131°Fandwithdisplaysurface
temperaturesofupto65°C/149°F .However,whenthedisplayisexposedtoprolonged,directsunlightthesurface
oftheAxiomXL24mayexceedthesetemperatures.ThismaycausetheLCDtoblackouttemporarily,untilthe
surfacetemperaturefallstowithinnormallimits.Tohelpmitigatethisoccurrenceitisrecommendedthatwhen
installinginanabovedecksenvironmenttheAxiomXL24ismountedinalocationprotectedfromdirectsunlight
e.g.:underneathahardtoporBimini(canvas).
Otherfactorsthatcanhelptoreducethesurfacetemperatureofyourdisplayincludeensuringsufficientairflow
aroundthedisplayandreducingtheLCD’sbrightnesslevel.
