Beforeusingtheproduct,carryoutthefollowing:
•Mechanicalchecks.
•Switchonandinitialsetup.
Mechanicalchecks
Beforeswitchingontheproduct:
•Ensurethat:
–Allsecuringboltsarefullytightenedandtheappropriatemechanicallockingwashersarein
place.
–Allconnectionsaresecurelymade.
–Allconnectingcablesandwiresaresecuredandprotectedasnecessary.
•AskyourlocalRaymarineauthorizedinstallertochecktheinstallation.
ConnectingtoaRadarscanneroverRayNet
Onceyou’vemadealltherelevantpoweranddataconnectionsasdescribedinthe
Cablesand
connections section,youcanusetheRadarapplicationonacompatibledisplaytoconductfurther
initialtests.

oftheOperationshandbookforyourdisplay.
PoweringonaQuantumRadar
Withtheradarscannerinapoweredoffstate,andconnectedtoacompatiblemultifunctiondisplay
(MFD):
1.OntheMFD,launchtheRadarapplication.
AmessageboxisdisplayedindicatingthataRadarscannerisoffor“notconnected”.
2.Select Onfromtheonscreenmessagebox.
TheRadarwillpowerupinStandbymode.
3.OncetheRadarhaspoweredup,select TxtostarttheRadartransmitting.
Radarreturnswillnowbedisplayedonscreen.
PairingwithaQuantumRadarusingWi-Fi
IfyourRadarscannersupportsaWi-Ficonnection,youcanconnecttoaLightHouse
TM
MFDwhich
alsosupportsWi-Fi.Duringpairing,theWi-FicredentialsofallMFDswithWi-Fiswitchedonaresent
totheQuantumRadar.AtsubsequentpowercyclestheQuantumRadarwillautomaticallyconnectto
theMFDwiththestrongestsignal.
Note:
1.Duringinitialsetupyouwillhave10minutesinwhichtoconnecttheR adartoyourMFD.After
thistime,ifnoconnectionismade,theRadarwillautomaticallygotoSleep.Ifthisoccurs,
powercycletheRadartobringitoutofSleepmodeandestablishaconnection.
2.NetworkedMFDsthatonlyhavetheirWi-Fienabledaftertheinitialpairingperiod,willsend
Wi-FicredentialstotheRadarwhentheirWi-Fiisswitchedon.
1.ApplypowertoyourMFD(s).
2.P oweronandthenenabletheWi-FiconnectiontotheMFDswhichhavethestrongestsignal,as
identifiedduringthepre-installationsitesurvey.UsuallythesewillbetheMFDsclosesttoand/or
withtheclearestlineofsighttotheRadar).
3.ApplypowertoyourRadarscanner.
4.Select
QuantumRadarfromthesettingsmenuontheMFD:
i.OnLightHouse3MFD: Homescreen>Settings>Thisdisplay(tab)>PairwithQuantum.
5.Ifprompted,select OKtoenableyourMFD’sWi-Ficonnection.
6.Enterthepasscode(e.g.901589f5)inthe Passcodefield.
RefertotheRetainyourWi-FiPasscodesectionfordetailsonlocatingyourSSIDandPasscode.
