TheGNSSantennacanbemountedeitheronaflathorizontal
surfaceoronasuitablepole.
•Ifyouintendtosurfacemounttheantenna,ensureyouhave
accesstotheundersideofthemountingsurface.
•Ifyouintendtopole-mounttheantenna,thepoleneedstohave
a1inch14TPIthread.
Important:
TheGNSSantennamustbemountedinalocationthatprovides
agooddirectline-of-sighttotheentiresky,aroundthehorizon.
Ensurethattheselectedmountinglocationis:
•Openandclearofanyobstructions(suchasmasts,searchlights,
orotherstructures)thatcouldblockline-of-sighttothesky.
•Aslowaspossible,tokeeptheantennaasstableaspossible.
Themorestabletheantenna,themoreeffectivelyitwilltrack
satellitesandprovidestabledata.
•Asfaraspossible(atleast1m(3ft))fromotherantennaeand
electronicequipment.
DoNOTmounttheantenna:
•Inanyareawhereitcouldbesteppedonortrippedover.
•Upamast.Thiswillcausetheantennatoswingandgive
significanterrorsinpositiondata.
•InthedirectpathofaRadarbeam.
•Inanengineroom.

TheGNSSantennaissuppliedwithafitted10m(33ft.)cable.The
lengthoftheantennacablecanbeextendedifrequired.
Theantennacablelengthcanbeextendedbyupto10m(33ft.),
givingatotalmaximumcablelengthof20m(66ft.)
RG58-Type50ohmcoaxialcableandreliableconnectors(offering
protectionagainstwateringress)mustbeusedwhenextending
theantennacable.
Note:Extendingthecablelengthbymorethanthe
recommendedmaximumlengthwillresultinsignaldegradation.
Cablebendradius
