1.Ensuringthatthe GNSS antenna location requirements are
met,securelyattachthepoletoasuitable,securepoint.
2.Removeandretainthescrewssecuringtheantennatothe
polemountadaptor,thenseparatethesetwoitems.
3.Screwthepolemountadaptorfullyontothepoleandensureit
issecure.
4.Feedtheantennacablethroughthecenterofthepolemount
adaptorandthendownthroughthecenterofthemounting
pole.
5.Ensuringyoudonottrapthecable,placetheantennaon
thepolemountadaptorsothescrewholesarealigned,then
securetheantennawiththe3screwsremovedduringstep2.
Surfacemounting
Whensurfacemountingtheantenna,youcanroutethecable
eithercentrally(OptionA)orfromthesideoftheantenna
(OptionB).
Important:IfyouarereplacingaGPSantennasuppliedwith
anolderAISreceiveroranAIS700withanearly(low)serial
number,pleasebeawarethatthemountingdiameter(cutout)of
theGPSreceiverhaschanged,fromØ44mmtoØ60mm.
1.Removethe3screwssecuringtheantennatoitspolemount
adaptor,thenremovetheadaptorfromtheantenna.
2.Usingthesuppliedmountingtemplate,markanddrillthe
mountingholes.
•OPTIONA:Ifthecableisgoingtopassthroughthemounting
surface,drilla19mm(0.75in.)centerholeforthecable.
•OPTIONB:Ifthecableistoberoutedfromthesideofthe
antenna(i.e.abovethemountingsurface),removethepiece
ofplasticcoveringtheendofthecablechannelandroute
thecablethroughthechannel(1).Incorrectcableroutingcan
causedamagetothecable.
3.Screwthesuppliedmountingstuds(2)intotheundersideof
theantenna.
4.Stickthesuppliedgasket(3)tothemountingsurface,ensuring
thattheholesonthegasketcorrespondwiththedrilledholes.
5.Routethecableasfollows:
•ForOptionA,feedthecabledownthroughthecenterhole.
•ForOptionB,routethecablealongthecablechannel.
6.Carefullyplacetheantennasothemountingstudspass
throughtheholesinthemountingsurface.
7.Securetheantennatothesurfaceusingthesuppliedthumb
nuts(4).
Note:
•Thethumbnutssuppliedwithyourproductmaydifferslightly
fromthoseshownintheillustration.
•Onlyusethestudsandthumbnutssuppliedwiththeantenna.
Connectingtheantenna
Theantennamustbeconnectedtoacompatiblemultifunction
display(MFD),AIS,orVHFunit.
Note:ForRay53,Ray63,Ray73radios,theGNSSantenna
connectioncanbefoundattheendofacaptivecable
connectedtotheradiobaseunit.
1.Fullyinserttheantenna’scableconnectorintotheantenna
connectorontherearofyourMFD,AIS,orVHFunit.Referto
thenoteaboveforRay53,Ray63,Ray73radios.
2.Turnthelockingcollarclockwiseuntiltight.
3.Pushtheprotectivebootovertheconnectiononthebackof
theMFD,AISorVHFunit,andsecurewithacabletie.
