7.1Multipledatasource(MDS)overview
MDSisasystemtomanageinstallationswithmultipleinstances
ofsensorsprovidingthesametypeofdatatovesseldisplaysand
systems.IfattachedtoacompliantsystemaMDSenableddisplay
willletyouseeallvesselsensors,andselectthepreferredsources
foryourdata.e.g.inasystemyoumayhaveaMulti-functiondisplay
withaninternalGPSandanexternalGPSsuchasaRS125+,by
selectingyourpreferreddatasourceallowsyoutodeterminewhich
GPSisusedbyyoursystem.
Whereyoursystemhasalreadybeenassignedapreferreddata
sourceyourdisplaywillusethatsourcebydefault.Youcanusethe
displaytosetthepreferreddatasourcesonyoursystemsothatany
otherMDSenableddevicesusethatdatasource.

Note:Thepresenceofsomenon-MDScompliantdeviceson
