4.1Locationrequirements
Whenplanningtheinstallationlocation,considerthefollowing:
TheGPSreceiveriswaterproof,andappropriateforabovedecks
mounting.
Choosealocationthatprovidesthemostunobstructedviewof
theskyinalldirections:

DoNOTmounttheGPSreceiveratthetopofamast.
TheGPSreceivershouldbemountedatleast1m(3ft)awayfrom
devicesthatmaycauseinterference,suchasmotors,generators,
VHFradiounitsandothertransmitters/receivers.
EnsuretheGPSreceiverisNOTmountedinthepathofthebeam
emittedfromanyradarscannerunits.
GPSreceivermountingoptions
Thereare3differentmountingoptionsfortheGPSreceiver.
Polemount.
Flushmount.
Railmount.
4.2PolemountingtheGPSreceiver
Polemountingrequiresapolewitha1inch14TPIthread.The
threadmustnotexceed20mminlength.

1.Securelyattachthepolemountbasetoasuitablepole.
2.Passthecableandconnectorthrougheither:
2a)thecenterofthepolemountbracketandthepole;or
2b)thecableexitholealongsidethecenterhole.
3.Attachtheconnectorsecurelytothepluginthebaseoftheunit.
4.Securethereceivertothepolemountbaseusingthescrews
provided.
