6.2L ocationrequirements
Followtheguidelinesbelowwhenselectingalocationforyoursingle
transducerorsplit-pairtransducers.
Forbestperformance,transducersshouldbeinstalledinalocationwiththe
leastturbulenceandaeration.
Important:
DoNO Tinstalltransducersin-linewithtrailerrollers,yourvessel’sengine
intakeordischargeopenings.
T ransducersshouldbeinstalledasclosetothecenterlineofthevessel
aspossible.
1.OutboardorI/O(Planinghull)mountforwardandtothesideof
thepropeller(s).
2.Inboard(Planinghull)mountforwardofthepropeller(s)andshaft(s).
3.Steppedhull(Planinghull)mountonthefirststepasfaraftas
possible.
4.Displacementhullmountapproximately1/3ofthewayalongthe
lengthofthehull,measuredalongthewaterline.
5.Finkeel(Keelsailboat)mountforwardofthekeel,ensuringthatthe
keelwillnotobstructthetransducerswidebeamwidth.
6.Fullkeel(Keelsailboat)mountawayfromthekeelatalocation
withminimumdeadrise,ensuringthatthekeelwillnotobstructthe
transducerswidebeamwidth.
Themountingsurfaceshouldbeflatsothattransducersitsflushagainst
thehull.
Wheninstallingsplit-pairtransducerswithangledelements,youmust
ensurethatthehull’sdeadriseangleatthechosenmountinglocationis
appropriatefortheselectedtransducers.
Whenfittingtoahullwithakeel,ensurethatthetransducerbeamwillnot
beobstructedbythekeel.Ifthetransducercannotbefittedforeoraftof
thekeelthenusesplitpairtransducerstoovercometheobstruction.
