1Routinechecks
Thefollowingperiodicchecksshouldbemade:
•Examinecablesforsignsofdamage,suchaschafing,cutsornicks.
•Checkthatthecableconnectorsarefirmlyattachedandthattheirlocking
mechanismsareproperlyengaged.
Note:
Cablecheck
sshouldbecarriedoutwiththepowersupplyswitchedoff.

11.2T ransducercleaning
Y oumustcleanyourtransducerregularlytoremoveorganicgrowth.Organic
growthcanbuildupquicklyonthebottomfaceofyourtransducer;thiscan
impacttransducerperformanceinamatterofweeks.
Important:
•Whencleaninggrowthfromananti-fouledtransducer ,takecarenot
toletpaintdustandotherdebrisenterthewater,asthiscanhavean
impactonaquaticlife.
•Takecarenottoscratchthesurfaceofthetransducerasthiscanimpact
transducerperformance.
•DoNOTuseharshcleaningsolventssuchasacetoneasthiswilldamage
thetransducer.
Followtheguidancebelowtocleangrowthfromyourtransducer:
•Useasoftclothandamildhouseholdcleaningdetergenttocleanmild
growthbuildup .
•Useascouringpad,suchasagreenScotchBrite™padandamild
householdcleaningdetergenttocleanmoderategrowthbuildup.
•Y oumayneedtouseafinegradewetanddrypaperandamildhousehold
cleaningdetergenttocleanseverebuildup.
11.3Bridgingmaterialremoval
Onmetalhulledvessels,topreventgalvaniccorrosion,themetalpartsofyour
stainlesssteeltransducermustNOTtouchthehull.Theincludedhighspeed
noseconeandisolationpartsensureagapexistsbetweenthetwosurfaces.
Whencleaningyourtransducer,particularattentionmustbegiventothe
edgeofthehighspeednosecone.Ensurethatthereisnogrowthor
materialattachedthatbridgesthegapbetweenthemetalpartofthe
transducerandametalhull.
1.Metalpartoftransducer.
2.Highspeednosecone.
3.Metalhull.
11.4Re-applyinganti-foulingpaint
Ifyouhaveappliedanti-foulingpainttoyourtransducer,itisimportantto
re-applyitatleastevery6months,tomaintaineffectiveness.
