Your TV is so automatic that you will
probably never need to change this
function. That's because when you use
the "AUTOPROGRAM" function,
your TV automatically adjusts the
"CABLE/AIR" setting for you.
The "CABLE/AIR" function tells
your TV whether you have a cable-TV
system or a home antenna connected
to it.
During "AUTOPROGRAM", the TV
will automatically determine whether
cable signals, antenna (air) signals, or
both are being received. It will then
automatically set the "CABLE/AIR"
function.
When the "'CABLE/AIR" function is
set to "CABLE", it allows the TV to
receive cable channels. When the
"CABLE/AIR" function is set to
"AIR", it allows the TV to receive
whatever TV channels (VHF and
UHF) are broadcast in your area.
When you use the
"AUTOPROGRAM" function, your
TV automatically determines what
you have connected (cable-TV or
home antenna) no matter what
position the "CABLE/AIR" function
is set to.
Normally, you will never need to use
this function ff you use the
"A'UTOPROGRAM" feature.
However, the "CABLE/AIR" function
allows you to override the automatic
settings and thus provides maxamum
flexibility should you desire to use
your "IV for special applications.
Changing "CABLE/AIR" Function
--(with remote)
l. Press SETUP button twice to
get to the second Setup Menu.
Press Twice
2. Press number button "4" to
change "CABLE/AIR"
function.

"+" marks move down to the
"CABLE/AIR" function.
