10-CODES
Citizens band radio operators" have largely adopted the 10-codes for
standard questions and answers. Its use permits faster communication ‘3
and better intelligibility in noisy areas. The following table lists some of
the more common codes and their meanings.
Code Meaning Code Meaning
10-1 | Receiving poorly 10-10 | Standing by
10-2 | Receiving well 10-13. | Advise road/weather conditions.
10-3. Stop Transmitting | | What is your location?
10-4 OK Emergency traffic
10-7 | Out of Service Correct time
